I truly feel sorry for those student taking the NELFUND loans.

Students in working countries like the US, Canada, and UK often graduate with substantial student loan debts.

The average graduate debt is roughly:

US: ~ $29,000
Canada: ~ $19,000
UK: ~ $69,000

Many spend 10 to 30 years repaying those loans.

Then there’s Nigeria.

A country with youth unemployment running high, and a national minimum wage of just N70,000/$45-$50 per month.

Yet some of you are gleefully taking government-backed NELFUND student loans.

How do you intend to pay it back when there are so few jobs and the minimum wage is abysmal?
