All of this stuff comes from people who don't realize God is the wellspring of life and abundance. The hustlers mindset is lack, low vibration, cortisol induced cope, literally coping with the environment.

Living should be easy and enjoyable. Yes you should push yourself at the gym, but you shouldn't strain yourself, you shouldn't damage yourself. Exerting effort that's enjoyable is peak living, but exerting effort that feels strained means there are chokepoints that need to be addressed asap.

You shouldn't grind yourself down to a pulp in order to make money, just so now the only purpose of this money is to recover your health you lost by making it.

Evade the trap and enjoy living life, enjoy muscle contractions at the gym, enjoy the food you eat. If you're not enjoying something then it's just not serving you.

If you don't enjoy something figure out a way that you can enjoy it, or stop doing it.

My best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in your life, and it can become a vice if you play your cards right.

A common hangup when reading older novels is the idea that there's something you "miss" if you don't parse every word, when the novel pre-teevee era was meant to be read to pass the time, even the difficult ones. Just like you don't fully pay attention to a sitcom, the enjoyable way to read the tomes is to let your eyes wash over the words and let your intuition ping you to focus. All of a sudden, attention focuses, and you realize the writing is good — *really* good, and poignant, and funny. And if something doesn't make sense, you can always go back.

Older literature was meant for repetitive reading, partially bc books were fairly expensive until commodified, and bc there wasn't any other form of mass entertainment. I've always felt the American school system teaches reading incorrectly for this reason. Being able to recite plot points and answer questions isn't a useful test of literary interpretation after it's obvious you have reading comprehension. Great literature is about timelessness, expanding an anecdote or a plot point into a generalist statement about the universe and its participants.

The quiz mentality induces pressure in people for no reason. They subconsciously assume they're supposed to be able to rattle off facts about the books the read, which makes reading stressful for no reason. I've read a ton of books where I would struggle to tell you what actually happens. But when a passage becomes relevant, or I discuss the ideas I remember from the experience described above, it's clear I "get" the ideas of the author. It's such a weird reading tip, but if you don't feel like reading a page, just go to the next! You never know if you'll find the right circumstances to get unstuck otherwise.

I think the most important psychic defense right now is to observe your relationship to Surveillance, and Feeling Surveilled. Those in my life encountering actual psychotic episodes are in manic loops of Surveillance and fear of surveillance. Sure, the concept of ring cameras and laptops spying on you is one thing, but the casual, compulsory experience of Surveilling others and Surveilling ourselves is another :

Who is liking,
Who is following ?
Who thinks I am looking at them?
Did that couple break up?
Is that celebrity still relevant ?
Is that celebrity too fat? Too skinny? Too political? Too apolitical? Sincere? fake? Who is her boyfriend? Where is her house ???? Why did she say that?
Is my crush avoiding me?
Did they not text me but post instead?
Why is this person liking every story I post ? Why do they want my attention?
Who is my crush following? What photos are they liking?
Who is watching?
How many are watching?
Who is watching me?
Who am I watching?
If I watch it for long enough will I feel more safe and in control?
