This weekend, our program celebrated a beautiful night full of toasts, roasts, introductions to our new interns, and farewells to our outgoing seniors ❤️🥹

Excited for my first #ASCO in Chicago this weekend! Any tips to make the most of my experience as a soon-to-be intern are greatly appreciated!

I cannot emphasize how important this development is. Black women are more likely to present at younger ages, with more aggressive disease, & at later stage. Now we have a chance to catch these deadly cancers before it's too late @ASBrS@AmericanCancer: https://t.co/3as2xwoC9C.
⭐ Medical student, John Atwater, is focused on healthcare equity in idiopathic scoliosis through institutional retrospective studies. This led to psychological wellbeing studies & orchestrating a Duke /Stanford collaboration to investigate a new screening tool for scoliosis.
Had the opportunity to visit @dukenus today in Singapore! Such a cool experience seeing how they use innovative technology to augment medical education!

Gun violence is the #1 cause of death for children.
No family should wonder if their child is safe in school.
It’s the guns & it has to stop.

Congrats to MS4s for matching into residency! It's such an exciting time but stressful due to the monetary stress related to moving. Here are some finance tricks to help you get by the first few months of residency 🧵 1/9

This!! The connections I made at AMEC were truly invaluable for the interview/match process. Part of valuing diversity is setting your URIM MS3s up to succeed! Thank you @DukeMedSchool
Going to AMEC is so important for URIM’s. Especially third year medical students. Programs that truly value diversity will make sure they have representation there to meet you!
Let me just say this: the first time I made a connection with my residency program was at AMEC. ❤️
