@itsreallybruno Material Girl! I was in kindergarten and I remember being enthralled by the song! I feel like I would have discovered her in 1983 but I was only 3 when her first album came out! 😂
@soapcentral Still so angry! And I’ll say this - my personal opinion is that we have so many reboot and revival series now because there’s a lack of looooong running shows where we see characters grow up right before our eyes. We want a Robin Scorpio so we get a Fuller House and Raven’s Home.
@CATBOYBOSS I don’t think the dislike is towards the album as much as it is towards this era of her life. Stella, awful mgmt, no promotion, the reality show, the album name change. It was hard to watch. The music is amazing & her idea of an R&B through the ages album is such a cool concept!
@nuno_gouv@RVotsir@theharkyp Right??? And for it to be #2 and NOT be included on any of her greatest hits compilations just speaks to how great her music has always been!
@FearcyzD I hate that the narrative has been created that this doesn’t count as an album. It’s not a soundtrack! Yes, it includes three songs from the movie but the rest were inspired by that era. It’s a concept album but still an album of great music. I hate that it’s forgotten about!
@overthinktwink Thank you! Although I loved Coven, I was even upset that they connected it to Apocalypse. It’s supposed to be an anthology series with distinct stand-alone seasons!
@bblmariah My understanding is that she dislikes the overproduced sound which is why she included the stripped down MTV Unplugged version for her second #1’s collection.
