Spent a lovely evening at the Royal Danish Embassy along with other MPs from Maharashtra. The Danish Ambassador to India Hon'ble Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen and the Dy Head of the Mission Martin Egknud Petersen hosted the dinner. We spoke about various issues of global relevance and India-Denmark ties.

Had enriching discussions with Mr. Martin Egknud Petersen, Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Peter Winther Schmidt, Consul General of Denmark in Bengaluru, and Mr. Pradyumna Bora, Political Advisor to the Embassy, exchanging views on strengthening cooperation across clean energy, sustainability, innovation, urban development, and investment.

8th India-Denmark Foreign Office Consultations held in New Delhi today. Co-chaired by Secretary (West) @AmbSibiGeorge & State Secretary for Foreign Policy Ms. Lotte Machon.

They took stock of the ongoing bilateral cooperation under the India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership and the Joint Action Plan for the term 2021-26. Both sides reaffirmed the commitment to widen the scope of collaboration further in the areas of political engagement, trade & investment, renewable energy, sustainability, clean technologies, circular economy, shipping, water, agriculture & animal husbandry, food processing, research & development and mobility. They also agreed to further cooperation in the areas of defence & security, new & emerging technologies and the Arctic. Both sides reiterated their commitment towards fighting terrorism in all its manifestations.  

Denmark is a trusted partner in the EU. The Danish side reiterated its support for early conclusion of India-EU- FTA during 🇩🇰’s ongoing Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Both sides exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest and agreed to strengthen multilateral cooperation.

It was a pleasure to greet and welcome Martin Egknud Petersen, Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Danish Embassy in Mumbai BJP Office at Vasant Smruti.

We had an engaging conversation during which Martin expressed his amazement at the development of the Coastal Road Project and the significant reduction in travel time from the airport to South Mumbai.

He shared his experience of visiting Mumbai 10 years ago compared to his recent visit yesterday. Back then, the same journey had taken him nearly 2 hours. This time, however, he was able to reach South Mumbai in less than 30 minutes after landing.

We also discussed the reasons why #Denmark is consistently ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world. As a gesture of hospitality, we offered him Mumbai’s famous Vada Pav, which he relished with great interest.

I also presented him a small model of the Ram Mandir of Ayodhya, along with a copy of my book, Udaan – Make Your Passion Your Career.
