These are not socialist programs. These are public services in a mixed economy. Every bit of equipment the fire department uses is from private industry. FedEx and UPS are better than USPS, and index funds outperform social security by like 5x.

This is how the commies try lure you in. They either lie about what socialism is, or they're just too dumb to understand it themselves. Either way, it's easy for a rich actor to wax poetic about "sharing the wealth". He just goes back to his secured luxury real estate. Being insufferably dumb is a prerequisite for being a socialist, clearly.

So after all the pre-tournament criticism, angst, and fearmongering (much done with anticipatory glee), the 2026 World Cup was a historic success. Incredible games, record crowds/viewers, and a cultural phenomenon. People were safe, entertained, and joyous. Visitors discovered, and Americans were reminded, just how wonderful our country is, all through the lens of soccer. I’m so happy for, and proud of, my country. Best World Cup ever. Firefighters and college football players showed up to a Tennessee senior home...to pull grandmas and grandpas down a MASSIVE slip 'n slide!!!

Seniors with dementia and Parkinson's laughed like little kids again.

This is the annual "Ride 'n Slide" at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where a giant tarp is stretched across the lawn and the Murfreesboro Fire Department keeps it soaked and lifts residents safely on and off.

The Middle Tennessee State football team spent their day pulling grandmas across the water on inner tubes and cheering them on every single ride.

One resident, Mike Mitchell, an Army veteran and a retired minister who preached for SIXTY YEARS, talked himself into it right there on the lawn.

One grandma went down FOUR times and came up smiling saying, "Well that was fast!"

Organizers say the residents with dementia and Parkinson's light up brightest of all.

For one afternoon, no diagnoses, no age, just water, laughter, and people cheering your name.

That's so amazing...

President Trump promised his administration would deliver the most safe, secure, and fun environment for FIFA. He started by establishing the White
House FIFA Task Force some 16 months ago, and we got right to work.
