Hon’ble Union Minister of Education Shri @dpradhanbjp has written to all Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and Administrators across the country, seeking their cooperation for the smooth, fair, and successful conduct of the NEET (UG) re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026. In view of the prevailing severe heatwave conditions, the Union Minister has also specifically urged them to ensure the availability of all essential basic facilities at examination centres for the convenience and well-being of aspirants.

We discussed the implementation of #NEP2020 and Meghalaya’s efforts towards integrating skills with formal education while promoting sports, physical education, horticulture and local livelihood opportunities within the learning ecosystem. The state’s emphasis on improving learning outcomes and strengthening learning in mother tongues, including Khasi and Garo, reflects a holistic and culturally rooted approach to education.

A greater focus on multidimensional development through the blend of knowledge and skills, along with emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence and computational thinking, can further expand opportunities for the youth and align education with their aspirations. Such future-ready and inclusive initiatives can become a strong pillar in building a skilled, confident and empowered generation for #ViksitBharat2047.
