Today is the Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles.

Ten days after the Ascension, the disciples gathered in a room, united in prayer with The Blessed Mother.

Then q sound like a rushing wind filled the whole room, and the holy spirit rested upon them.

Filled with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, they are enlightened and strengthened to spread the Gospel. So they went out to preach.

The multitudes were confounded because every man hears them speak in his own tongue.

That first day Peter goes forth to preach and baptizes three thousand.

The feast of Pentecost is the birthday of the Church, for on that day it begins to grow.

The exact same Spirit that breathed courage into the apostles is the Spirit imparted to us in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.

We are not called to be timid or silent in our faith. We are called to step out of the "upper rooms" of our own comfort zones and defend the truth with clarity and conviction.

Veni, Sancte Spiritus. Come, Holy Spirit.

SPORTCAST MEDIA 2025-26: Our biggest year yet!

The SportCast Media 2025-26 high school year officially ended last week, and we’ve been busy reflecting on, and breaking down how things went.

It was a tremendous year across the board as we nearly doubled the amount of teams we worked with in the Houston area compared to 2024-25, while also seeing our own staff grow in numbers.

In football, volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball, we saw 76% of the teams we worked with make the postseason. In cross country, track & field and golf, we had representation all the way up to the state level with one state champion crowned and plenty of others succeeding at the regional level.

As of late, we’ve been in the process of contacting and renewing the teams we’ve previously worked with for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Next Tuesday, we are excited to offer our services to any new teams or schools that might be interested in working with us as well.

It was a memorable year telling the stories of our teams and we couldn’t be more thankful for the support of the coaches, athletes, and their communities!
