thanks to the Apple engineer who finally made the sane decision to let people easily present popovers on iPhone
(without .presentationCompactAdaptation(.popover) the popover modifier shows a popover on iPadOS and a sheet on iOS…)
@arielmichaeli Could it be that adding competitor names to your keywords is now penalized more? Searching for „Appfigures“ now results in a shorter list than before.
@arielmichaeli The App Store app also appears to be using a new version of the Search API. If I call it directly and search for "App Reviews" the app is ranked on place 34. In the App Store app on place 6 (but following a collection entry that I have not seen before).
AppReviews can now be installed through an App Clip. The upgrade path to the full app still leaves a room for optimization, but other than that I think this is a good replacement for the current Firebase Dynamic Link flow.

Revamping the onboarding flow for App Reviews has been an absolute blast! 🚀
The results? A significant boost in ratings per download and subscriptions purchased.

"Attempting to change an organization’s culture is a folly; it always fails. People’s behavior (the culture) is a product of the system; when you change the system, peoples’ behavior changes." (John Seddon) →
@arielmichaeli do you have any thoughts about adding a keyword rank based on a Popularity, Competitiveness calculation to Appfigures?
i.e. Rank = Popularity / Competitiveness ^ 2
As a…
– user
I want…
– a strategically-timed, comprehensive rebrand
so that…
– negative discourse regarding company practices can be briefly veiled with commentary regarding new name, logo, and brand assets, alongside excessively-shared parodies of the brand in meme format
It took a few round trips through the App Store, but App Reviews now finally allows you to import a list of apps to monitor from a fresh install!
