@phillipcrymble Beautiful… the way the register of the second stanza shifts lyrical, musical; the imagery bends towards unity, (us/our/her head/my head/mingled breath), and simple tragedy of the final line… gorgeous work
Thankful for the cosmic coincidence that has placed me in Japan, beneath the blooming Sakura, right in time for the renaissance of US-Japanese digital love
@bbedeutungg Whatever your personal view on der juden, I think it’s far more likely what you’re seeing from Timmy is his American values speaking, and not a deep rooted cultural envy his mother Jewishly instilled in him… lol
@bbedeutungg This is Wagner’s argument in ‘Das Judenthum in der Musik’ - suffice to say it overlooks the central contributions of Mendelssohn, Meyerbeer (Wagner’s inspiration), Offenbach, Mahler, Schoenberg (pioneer of dodecaphony) and many more. Liked or not they are inseparable from Europe.
@bbedeutungg You must still carry a little love for him because this is the kindest and most gentle sentiment you’ve expressed towards a man outside of toto Wolff and Spader
@bbedeutungg@ipissonx While Christianity may have integrated pagan elements (Ēostre, Santa, the cults you name), the foundational principles are undeniably Abrahamic (Jewish). To say otherwise is to be will fully disingenuous. Christianity is more Jewish than it is any of those cults.
