Tennessee runs the same Veer and shoot Offense that we run and have played two QBs, One being a true Freshman.
They are the #13 ranked team in the country while we are getting worse every week. The coaching has got to change man.
Half empty stadiums.
Kirby saying what we all know in that the players “aren’t as hungry.”
Playoffs expanding to 24 teams.
Fanbases will check out as soon as they’re out of the playoff picture and their one year mercenaries stop giving a shit on the field. Games gone
The Entirety of the game Texas fans stood up while their team was both on offense and defense.
Multiple instances last week (including me in Section 3), state fans were told by Papaw Bulldog to sit down multiple times.
@PlaySirFootball@UrinatingTree And gamesmanship is respected. Can’t be loud and obnoxious on the golf course while your son’s opponent is lining up a putt. Reason a lot of parents are out on baseball: other parents.
Correct, it’s why NFL is making a huge push at Flag Football and the funding of women’s flag football teams to have a substitute for when they shut the lights off on full contact football. Growing an audience and easing everyone into this slow death.
My extreme hot take about the future of football: The NFL will eventually ban all forms of physical contact in the next twenty years. The backlash against it will be far too great to outweigh the risk.
It's already been happening in subtle ways.
@cooper0309@rdjohnson05 Lebbys Oline recruitment has been horrid. Lots can be blamed on Arnett and Leachs recruiting staff as well but there is only one offensive lineman from the class of 2024 that’s still here, and he doesn’t play. There are NONE from the class of 2023 here still.
Instead of praising the player, they wonder and wish about future transfer spots.
Instead of praising the special years some teams are having, they wonder their playoff chances at year end.
College football media needs a complete overhaul. These talking points drive folks away.
Sources: Mississippi State star QB Kamario Taylor will miss the rest of the season, as he faces surgery on his injured toe. Taylor has an appointment today to get his toe checked out by a specialist and could have surgery as early as tomorrow. He’s expected to make a full recovery.
Sacks allowed by Mississippi States offensive line through 7 games:
2025: 20
2026: 21
Thought we couldn’t get any worse than last year? Never say never with Jeff Lebby!
National Rankings through Jeff Lebby’s tenure at Mississippi State:
Pass Block Rank/Run Block Rank
2024: 107/116
2025: 76/102
2025: 122/121
Rush Defense Rank/Pass Rush Rank
2024: 91/134
2025: 116/134
2026: 101/126
Out of 138 teams. Absolutely horrid in the trenches
@alestate2020 Correct and that context is important, but the eye test does matter as well and this unit just doesn’t pass it still. Are they better than last year? Marginally if that, but still horrid.
