Check out my blog post about my journey to integrate technology into my classroom. What an incredible journey learning Web 2.0 tools that engage and inspire 21st-century students! https://t.co/5Cmk2lzh5K #6710App8
Check out my first wiki-lesson at https://t.co/trqmEy0ZFV. Students will enhance their knowledge of figurative language by creating comic strips using a variety of technology platforms. #6710App5
@RRS146@SMsed I also appreciate leaving a PD with a ready to use activity that I created during the session. Not only do I feel more confident with the new tool, but I am also able to implement it into instruction when the time is right. #6710DB2
Teachers must change their mindset of implementing technology in the classroom, such as blogging, without being technology experts. Allowing students to use applications without knowing exactly what to expect can be scary. It is okay to #learnwiththestudents. #6710DB2
@SMsed I learn so much from students since they can be fearless in using technology. Sometimes, I give the students an exploration day to try out the features of an app before using it in an assignment. It is fun watching them share discoveries and become classroom experts. #6710DB2
@RRS146 I have to be careful of this also. I get excited and want to share innovative technology ideas with my students immediately. By doing so, we can become overwhelmed and frustrated, rather than learning to explore the possibilities of a few really creative ones. #6710DB2
@MrsMcHugh_it Teachers need courage too! Taking a risk with the chance of failure is scary. Students benefit from seeing teachers work through their fears and take safe learning risks. #6710DB2
With so many technology resources, it is challenging determining when, how, and which tool to use. My #bigshift is analyzing instructional practices to provide a balance between instruction, hands-on learning, and technology integration. #6710DB2
Have students Tweet what they learned in class today rather than having them write it on a Post-It note at the end of the class. Students can scroll through the responses too. #EDUC6710
