Beyond Politics: Understanding the Grief of a Nation

For many people in Europe, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was primarily a political figure whose name was associated with geopolitical tensions, diplomacy, and the complex realities of the Middle East. For millions of people in Iran and beyond, however, he represented something profoundly different. He was not merely the leader of a state; he was the man who, for more than three decades, stood at the center of their nation’s most difficult moments. To many, he symbolized continuity, resilience, independence, and national dignity.

His martyrdom, together with members of his family, has therefore been experienced by many Iranians not simply as the loss of a political leader, but as a deeply personal and national tragedy. Across the country, countless people feel that they have lost someone who had accompanied their lives through wars, sanctions, crises, and profound social change. Such grief cannot be fully understood through political analysis or news headlines alone.

One does not need to share his political views—or even agree with his policies—to recognize the depth of this human loss. Compassion does not require political agreement. It requires only the ability to distinguish between disagreement and humanity.

In history we may also find larger than life characters whose deaths transcended politics and became moments of collective mourning. Every nation has individuals who embody more than public office; they become part of a people’s historical memory and emotional identity. Respecting that bond is not an endorsement of their ideas. It is an acknowledgment of the human experience shared by all societies.

History will continue to debate Ayatollah Khamenei’s political legacy. Scholars, journalists, and historians will assess his decisions from different perspectives for decades to come. Yet beyond those debates lies an undeniable reality: when violence claims the life of a national leader and members of his family, the first response worthy of our common humanity is compassion for those who mourn.

Today, the people of Iran ask for neither political approval nor ideological agreement. They ask only that their grief be seen with the same dignity and respect that every nation expects when confronted with profound loss. Empathy is not a political concession. It is the language of our shared humanity.

رد ادعاهای بی‌اساس گروه ۷ در رابطه با جمهوری اسلامی ایران

اسماعیل بقائی سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه ادعاهای مندرج در بیانیه پایانی نشست وزرای امور خارجه گروه ه��ت در کانادا راجع به جمهوری اسلامی ایران را بی‌اساس، غیرمسئولانه و مردود دانست.

سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه تکرار موضع غیرمسئولانه کشورهای عضو گروه ۷ در تایید اقدام غیرقانونی و ناموجه سه کشور اروپایی و آمریکا در سوء استفاده از ساز و کار حل اختلاف برجام برای بازگرداندن قطعنامه‌های لغوشده شورای امنیت علیه ایران را به منزله حمایت آنها از یک اقدام متخلفانه بین‌المللی دانست و تاکید کرد که این موضع‌گیری گروه ۷ به هیچ عنوان ماهیت غیرقانونی و ناموجه اقدام سه کشور اروپایی و آمریکا را تطهیر نمی‌کند.

سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه با یادآوری تعرض غیرقانونی نظامی رژیم صهیون��ستی و آمریکا به ایران و حمله به تاسیسات هسته‌ای صلح‌آمیز کشورمان، درخواست گروه ۷ از ایران برای همکاری با آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی، بدون کوچکترین اشاره‌ای به جنایت مشترک آمریکا و رژیم صهیونیستی، را ��زورانه و مداخله‌جویانه توصیف و تاکید کرد: اساسا آمریکا به دلیل خروج غیرقانونی و یکجانبه از برجام در سال ۲۰۱۸ و حمله نظامی به تاسیسات صلح‌آمیز هسته‌ای ایران، خود مسبب اصلی وضعیت کنونی است و سه کشور اروپایی نیز به دلیل تبعیت از آمریکا و قصور در ایفای تعهدات و همچنین حمایت از تجاوز نظامی آمریکا و رژیم صهیونیستی علیه تاسیسات هسته‌ای صلح‌آمیز ایران نه تنها مرتکب نقض فاحش تعهدات برجامی شدند ،بلکه با سوء نیت آشکار، همه ابتکارها و تلاش‌های ایران برای پیشبرد دیپلماسی را نادیده گرفتند.

سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه همچنین موضع گروه ۷ در قبال مساله فلسطین را غیرمسئولانه و خلاف تعهدات بین‌المللی آن‌ها در احترام به حق تعیین سرنوشت ملت‌ها و جلوگیری از نسل‌کشی دانست و تصریح کرد حمایت همه‌جانبه آمریکا و دیگر کشورهای عضو گروه ۷ از رژیم صهیونیستی و مماشات آن‌ها در قبال اشغال‌گری و نسل‌کشی فلسطینیان، ادعاهای حقوق بشری این گروه را فاقد هرگونه شان و اعتبار کرده است.

بقائی همچنین ضمن رد ادعای تکراری و غیرمسئولانه گروه هفت علیه ایران در رابطه با منازعه اوکراین، موضع اصولی جمهوری اسلامی ایران در این خصوص مبنی بر مخالفت با جنگ و ضرورت پایان‌دادن به منازعه از طریق گفتگو و مذاکره دیپلماتیک بین طرف‌های ذیربط را خاطرنشان نمود و تاکید کرد جمهوری اسلامی ایران هیچ مداخله‌ای در منازعه اوکراین ندارد و اتهام‌زنندگان می‌بایست به جای اصرار بر «خودبرترپنداری» و «مقصر جلوه دادن دیگران»، سیاست‌های اشتباه خود در رابطه با موضوع صلح و امنیت جهانی را پذیرفته و تصحیح کنند.

در ۴۸ ساعت گذشته، دروغ شنیعی که بمباران غیرقانونی ایران توسط رژیم اسرائیل و ایالات متحده را با «تهدید هسته‌ای قریب‌الوقوع» توجیه می‌کرد، به‌طور کامل افشا شد.

مدیرکل آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی صراحتاً اعلام کرده است که ایران «در حال توسعه سلاح هسته‌ای نیست و هرگز نبوده است».

جناب آقای البوسعیدی، همتای عمانی من و میانجی مورد اعتماد هر دو طرف ایران و آمریکا، نیز تأکید کرد که هیچ‌گاه هیچ «تهدید هسته‌ای از سوی ایران» وجود نداشته ��ست.

ایران نبود که دیپلماسی را از بین برد؛ بلکه کسانی که میز مذاکره را منفجر کردند، آن را نابود کردند.

رژیم اسرائیل به دیپلماسی حمله کرد، زیرا ترس واقعی‌اش این بود که «پروژه دشمن‌تراشی از ایران» شکست بخورد.

رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا با وعده پایان دادن به فریب‌کاری‌های نتانیاهو علیه اوباما و بایدن وارد کاخ ریاست جمهوری شد. هنوز برای اصلاح مسیر دیر نشده است.

In the past 48 hours, the heinous lie that the unlawful Israeli and U.S. bombing of Iran was motivated by an imminent nuclear threat has been thoroughly debunked by

- The International Atomic Energy Agency Chief, who has explicitly stated that Iran "is not and was not" developing nuclear weapons.

- My Omani counterpart, H.E. AlBusaidi, an intermediary trusted by both Iran and the U.S., who has made clear that there was never any Iranian "nuclear threat".

Iran did not kill diplomacy. Those who blew up the negotiating table did.

Israel targeted diplomacy because its real fear is the failure of its "Iran Demonization Project".

POTUS entered office promising to put an end to Netanyahu's bamboozling of Obama and Biden. It's not too late to reverse course.

Iran is grateful for President El-Sisi's invitation to attend the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit. While favoring diplomatic engagement, neither President Pezeshkian nor I can engage with counterparts who have attacked the Iranian People and continue to threaten and sanction us.

Having said that, Iran welcomes any initiative that ends Israel's Genocide in Gaza and ensures the expulsion of occupation forces. Palestinians are fully entitled to secure their fundamental right of self-determination, and all States remain obliged, more than ever, to assist them in their lawful & legitimate cause.

Iran has always been, and will always remain, a vital force for peace in the region. Contrary to the genocidal Israeli regime, Iran is not after Forever Wars —particularly on the dime of its purported allies— but seeks Forever Peace, Prosperity, and Cooperation.
