גורמים ישראלים הדליפו אתמול לערוץ 15 ו-12 מידע על הנספח הצבאי להסכם עם מדינת לבנון. בדיווח של ערוץ 12 נאמר במפורש כי מדינת לבנון ביקשה שיוותר סודי. מהדיווחים עולה כי ממשלת לבנון ביצעה ויתורים מרחיקי לכת - הסכמה לכך שצה"ל יבדוק פיזית שהצבא הלבנוני אכן פירק את תשתיות חזבאללה, שהנסיגה כרגע היא רק מנקודה אחת (זוטר אל-ע'רביה) ולא צפויות נסיגות נוספות ושאפילו הנסיגה הזו אינה צפויה בקרוב ועשויה לקחת שבועות. כלומר, הדבר החיובי היחיד מבחינת ההסכם הזה למדינת לבנון - נסיגה ישראלית כך שתושבים עקורים יוכלו לשוב לבתיהם, תתרחש רק עוד שבועות ורק לכפר אחד (הכפר האחר שיהיה איזור פילוט, פרון, לא נכבש במלחמה הנוכחית).
מדינת לבנון היא האיום הקיומי היחיד על חזבאללה. היא היחידה שיכולה, לאחר רפורמות במנגנוני הביטחון והצבא שייקחו שנים, לפרק את חזבאללה מנשקו בכל רחבי לבנון ובכך לממש את היעד האסטרטגי של רוב העם הלבנוני, מדינת לבנון, מדינת ישראל ורוב מדינות האיזור. ישראל אינה יכולה לכבוש את כל לבנון ולעבור בית בית ולאסוף את הנשק. רוב המחסנים של חזבאללה וכוח האדם שלהם דרומית לליטאני.
מההדלפות ברור לחלוטין למה מדינת לבנון לא רצתה שהנספח הזה יפורסם. ההדלפה הזו מזיקה לממשלת לבנון, שגם ככה נמצאת תחת ביקורת פנים-לבנונית על ההסכם עם ישראל (שכן פורסם) שמוטה לרעת לבנון. הביקורת הזו נשמעת גם ממתנגדים ומתנגדות בולטות של חזבאללה כמו האינטלקטואלים השיעים דיאנה מקלד, דימא צאדק, רנדה סלים וסלאם א-זעתרי שמבקרים את הוויתורים מרחיקי הלכת שביצעה ממשלת לבנון לטובת ישראל.
למעשה, ההדלפות האלו מסייעות לחזבאללה להגדיל את החוגים המתנגדים להסכם בין ישראל ולבנון.
למה אם כן התרחשו ההדלפות האלו שפוגעות במימוש היעד האסטרטגי של מדינת ישראל? האם ההנהגה הישראלית מקריבה את מטרת העל של פירוק חזבאללה מנשקו ומונעת משיקולי בחירות ורצון להוכיח שההסכם עם לבנון היה כה משפיל עבור לבנון ולפיכך טוב לישראל?
גורם מדיני בכיר בלבנון אמר לי אתמול לאחר ההדלפות: "בכך ש[ממשלת ישראל] מנצלת בצורה מוגזמת את המינוף שלה על ממשלת לבנון, היא שותפה לסירוסה ולהחלשתה, ובכך לחיזוקם של משמרות המהפכה וחזבאללה."

If Hezbollah was created to counter the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, then after Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon and the end of the 2006 war, it should have laid down its arms—not dragged Lebanon back into war by opening a new front on October 8, 2023.

Instead, Hezbollah became a state within a state, serving the interests of the IRGC rather than the Lebanese people.

In Lebanon, they have suppressed dissent, intimidated critics, and been linked to the killings of political opponents and critics.

They also intervened in Syria, where they fought alongside the Assad regime and participated in massacres against Syrian civilians.

Hezbollah should disarm—not for Israel's sake, but for Lebanon's. No country can be truly sovereign while an armed militia operates above the authority of the state.

Like me, she was born Shia and hails from the great city of Baalbek. Lynn does not believe the Iran/Hezbollah bogus narrative, which is unfortunately bought by the U.S. mainstream media, that the Shia were impoverished, downtrodden, forgotten, underdogs, their women clad in black and men wearing beards, military fatigues and ugly rings.

Like everybody else, Lebanon's Shia want Hezbollah disarmed, want to live in peace with Israel and all other countries, and want to raise their children in prosperity.

Lynn Harfoush must become Lebanon's speaker of parliament (the highest position allowed to Lebanon's Shia -- apartheid, anyone?)

A courageous Gazan woman. She points out the obvious: all those demonizing anti-Hamas Gazans "are living in cement [houses] and apartments. If they lived in tents and saw the humiliation and how we struggle... you would all go crazy."
She means those living inside Gaza, who are Hamas loyalists, and since they're in power or close to it, benefit from it. But this applies even more strongly to "pro-resistance" agitators living in comfort in the West or Qatar, who have not paid the horrific price Gazans have paid for Hamas' insanely irresponsible decision to carry out the Oct 7th massacres & for its decades of repressive and corrupt rule. The woman in the video plainly accuses Hamas of "inviting the Jews in[to Gaza]" (through Oct 7) and "robbing the country... and exploiting its people in every way possible."

This is dangerous.

This so-called journalist at Al Jazeera, Mohammad Alsaafin, has adopted Hamas' narrative about the June 26 anti-Hamas protests, portraying protesters as an "Israeli-backed gang operating in Gaza"—the same type of accusation Hamas has repeatedly used to justify executing Palestinians who oppose its rule.

Most families in Gaza have not denounced the June 26 protests. Spend a few minutes scrolling through social media posts from Gazans, and you will find widespread support for the demonstrations.

Gaza's streets are filled with anti-Hamas graffiti. Activists continue to speak out despite threats, intimidation, and smear campaigns.

By echoing Hamas' claims and depicting Palestinian protesters as foreign agents, Mohammad Alsaafin is not reporting on events—he is helping legitimize a narrative that puts the lives of ordinary Palestinians at risk.

And for the record, Mohammad: Hamas militias today threatened to kill a Palestinian woman over her social media posts supporting the June 26 protests. She is not an "Israeli-backed gang." She is an ordinary Palestinian woman who refuses to live forever under Hamas' rule and intimidation.

Shame on anyone who smears Palestinian civilians demanding freedom and dignity instead of standing with them.
