I started med school at 26. Residency done at 35. I have good income but wouldn’t do it again. #family is #1 and all the reason you need. You mean a lot to a lot of ppl. Don’t need med school to justify that.

Personal note.

I’ve decided not to pursue medical school.

We thought about it a lot and it took time to know for sure.

I really appreciate y’all hearing me out last fall. I love what you all get to do. It is AMAZING work. And I will continue to be silently jealous and publicly grateful.

But with time feeling extremely fleeting, I’m confident the best place I can be to pursue my own real life, grow a fulfilling career and also support the medical community is to stay where I’m at.
