From AI-powered solutions and digital health systems to environmental protection technologies and education-focused platforms, the innovation showcase reflected the creativity, resilience, and problem-solving capacity of students at @MbararaUST.
The innovation exhibition provided students with an opportunity to present practical solutions capable of transforming communities while strengthening the connection between academia, research, entrepreneurship, and industry.

Dr. Fred Kaggwa, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics at @MbararaUST, commended students for using technology and innovation to address real societal challenges in health, education, environmental conservation, and mental health.

Dr. Fred Kaggwa appreciated the role of academic staff, mentors, and industry partners in nurturing innovation and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
“If we do not have industry, then we do not have problems to work on. Industry partnerships help students understand real challenges and inspire practical solutions through innovation.” He stated.

Presenting Toto Warm; a smart infant temperature monitoring system with connected bracelets for mother and baby. The baby’s bracelet tracks real-time temperature, while the mother receives instant alerts through vibrations and LED signals.
