@jaayee_martin@11Yanks 15 European teams play in the next 4 days? 🤔
I’d argue Scotland and Switzerland are in the top 15 of Europe, neither looked great.
Confusing to me during the game, and still confusing to me now.
1) I thought in-person that maybe the referee gave a yellow card to a different player and not Ream, and had to correct himself. Giving Almiron a yellow instead is changing the call on a non-VAR call.
Almiron dives. Ream wrongly booked for a foul. Free-kick comes to nothing. VAR intervenes - the yellow is swapped.
Surely that is not mistaken identity.
Mistaken identity would’ve been if (eg) Robinson had been booked rather than Ream.
@KieranMaguire@nqatpod We knew FIFA didn’t care about this in Qatar when they would announce attendance as “65,000” or “55,000” for each stadium with that exact capacity.
@TrungTPhan@World_Cup_Guide Genuine question: how much of the diluted tournament (48 teams vs 32 teams) do you think has to do with it? I’m sure there are unsold knockout round tickets, but by the time those matches come around, they’ll be sold out.
@Utah_AM I think it's get brought up every year, while this policy has been in place for over a decade. I think the only people who get really upset about it are reporters and people on social media. I don't see other teams having an issue with it.
@SirSportsman@LouStagner Not all BYU players are members of the Church. Would make sense to play the tournament from Monday-Saturday and it is a non-issue.
