The clinical trial was led by Waseem Qasim's team @ucl. A CBE made three simultaneous edits in donor T cells by ex vivo electroporation of CBE mRNA & guide RNAs. The edited T cells (made CD7-less by base editing) received an anti-CD7 CAR, then were transplanted into Alyssa.
