One magazine, published from 1952 to 1967, was produced by a gay rights non-profit in Los Angeles and considered a radical magazine during its run. One devoted itself to representing the homosexual experience through fiction and essays about history, culture, and politics.

1978 to 1982 is known as the golden age of arcade video games, producing popular games like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Donkey Kong. These premiere-issue magazines from 1982 show a booming video industry just before the video game crash of 1983.
