Why don’t they market the vax like this:
“Reduces chance of symptoms by 60%, and if you get sick it reduces average duration of symptoms from 14 to 4 days!”
I could get ten days of my life back? That’s more persuasive than whatever they’re doing now.
Tell me the benefits.
If you view this whole 'pandemic' situation through the lens of health, safety, science and saving lives, then most of it makes little sense.
If you view it through the lens of money, power, control, and wealth transfer, then all of it makes perfect sense.
Check your premises.
The people who told you to consume grains and seed oils, stay out of the sun, don't eat meat, and take drugs instead of change your lifestyle -
- well, they're still in charge of public health.
@drbehardisty Sorry, that was harsh. I just don’t understand how you can shill so hard for something that you have seen first-hand doesn’t work and that you don’t really believe offers you protection otherwise you’d be willing to eat outside your home.
I suppose we should let out a sigh of relief that she didn’t go full cult leader + kill a bunch of people. I guess there’s still time depending on how her trial goes.
I imagine she’ll skate and find a new way to separate fools from their money.
I never followed the Theranos story but now I’m obsessed.
It’s almost black comedy until you get to the part that Holmes actually unleashed her broken product onto the public.
Listening to Tim Draper defend her 2 years after the WSJ stories is simultaneously hilarious and sad.
Her supporters will try to claim that she just “lost perspective” due to pressure, wealth or media-attention but she did exactly the kind of stuff that a person like her does. Her “change the world” BS applied to biz just meant that her wreckage hit a different part of society.
Half of whom were supposedly vaccinated and yet still find themselves hospitalized.
But don’t worry, the vaccine prevented their cases from being so severe that they needed emergency care. Oh wait…
@alex_cono I’m all for people getting the shots to preemptively mitigate the symptoms should they choose to do so but I think laying off nurses because they’re refusing a treatment that *might* protect them from hospitalization but doesn’t stop transmission is psychotic.
@alex_cono So my experience coupled with the failure of the vaxxes to fulfill the promises of protection or *at least* containment makes me question the 60–90% protection claims (especially now that the booster talk has been pushed to 5 months after 2 shots).
