We were out before the sun this morning at Nordel Way / Alex Fraser Bridge to address restricted bus lane. A restricted lane is for authorized buses & designated vehicles only.If you are not driving a bus or a vanpool, you are risking a ticket. We issued 33 violations.

Morning wake-up call! ☀️ Our team was focused on Highway 99 in Surrey, enforcing the bus lane. 52 tickets issued to drivers who thought that "I'm late for work" was a valid reason. They discovered that the only thing faster than driving in the bus lane is how fast we issue fines.

You can run, but you can't hide! In May, this vehicle took off from a traffic stop by our members of @MVTP_TMET. Yesterday, while conducting an ALPR operation at Scott Road Station, officers caught up to the driver and issued $2531 in fines and the vehicle was towed.

Around midnight, this individual drove from Clarke to almost Commercial on E. Hastings. Took out trolley lines along the way due to overheight load at 5.18m (max height is 4.15m). Still on scene waiting for crane to lift load and place on lower flat deck.

Maybe that's why an 👮🏼♀️👮 PEEPERS 🧐 were able to see that a Transit user was not drinking a Dr. Pepper. Reminder that drinking alcohol, smoking, and drug use is not permitted on the transit system.
On this beautiful sunny day, our officer caught a driver at 105km in a 50km zone while doing bus lane enforcement. This is a residential zone with a park that is visited by 100's of kids and families. This dangerous driver received a $368 fine & a 7-day vehicle impoundment.
During the Holiday season, @TransitPolice helped 🎅 work on his Naughty or Nice list. Working with @WestVanPolice@nvanrcmp@BurnabyRCMP@surreyps more than 20 people were added to the Naughty List for driving while impaired.
