And, now back to Enforcement...CVT stopped this truck on Hastings Street and escorted them back to Ports. 7 of the 14 brakes were out of adjustment, 1 was inoperable. Both front tires had cord exposed. The dump box warning did not work. The ABS warning lights, on the dash, indicated that the system was not working properly. There was an air leak under the truck and a couple corner markers were not working. Expensive day for the operator. #DriveSafe #HighRiskDriving

The Annual Hyack Parade today in @New_Westminster saw over 120 multicultural entries, marching bands, performance artists and floats. The @VancouverPD Drill Team was there to participate in the festivities. #Community #HyackFestival2026

@JohnMHillier @MattIlich That's correct. Tinted front windows create safety challenges for the driver and peds/cyclists etc. It's difficult to know if the driver has seen you if you're unable to see their face. Harder to see through tinted windows in the dark for the driver too.

3100 E. Broadway can see some high speeds most days, but 99 in a 50 km/h zone is just simply unsafe. It will cost you $368 + 7-day impound + tow and storage fees and points. #WeAreOutThere #NoNeedForSpeed

Some points: If you must have your cell phone while driving, it must be on a mount. if your phone is mounted and you have Bluetooth operating and you receive a call, you may press it once to answer the call and you may press it a second time to hang up, but that is the only contact allowed. It cannot be mounted to watch videos. Class 7 (learners and new drivers) are not allowed to use electronic devices at all, even hands-free. #LeaveYourPhoneAlone #EyesFwdBC

Our @VancouverPD CVT found this today of a 5-ton truck. It is the drag link connection to the control arm and should have 1/8 inch play at most. Being this loose could cause complete and immediate loss of steering of this commercial vehicle. Taken OOS and towed from the scene. #DriveSafe #WeAreOutThere
