TCU No. 6 in ESPN's post spring top 25. BYU and Utah left out

CSU's G Shelly Smith was the only MWC player in round 6. In round 7 Utah's CB R.J. Stanford and UNM's C Erik Cook were selected.

Many MWC players were selected in round 5 including 3 from Utah: Sylvester, Reed & Johnson. Marshall Newhouse from TCU was also selected.

No MWC players were selected in the third round. In the 4th, BYU's Dennis Pitta was selected & UNLV's Joe Hawley

In the second round, Utah's Zane Beadles and Koa Misi were selected. TCU's Daryl Washington was also a second round draft pick.

TCU's Jerry Hughes was the only MWC player selected in the first round. He was drafted by the Colts with the 31st pick.

Utah's 6 drafted players is a new school record. The former record was 5 and was done multiple times, most recently in 2005.
