&

@Murk441 It’s Beautiful! It fits like a dream❣️instead of spending on a more expensive dress, buy some jewelry that will remind you of your wedding day.
@LibnOfCongress@adalimon To Kill a Mockingbird. 1st read in Gram’s Readers Digest Condensed Books as a child. (Scout was a smart female! Yes!) Then, assigned in 8th grade, I tried to weasel out of it with an eyeroll & “Read it already.” 2nd read was a lesson in censorship (Thank You, Mr. Damien!)
@n_g_laskowski I am retired now from mostly adjunct community college teaching, and some public high school teaching (A.P. English, preparing kids for fancier colleges than I attended.) I wouldn’t trade any of it for $$$. I studied with prize winning writers, & met the love of my life.
@elizmccracken “Here’s Your Hat, What’s Your Hurry” (Honestly! I have favorite stories I reread.) Also “The Country I Come From” by Maura Stanton (?? I may have misspelled her name)…Love Medicine, YES…
@SharonGF_NBCT What’s worse is the multitudes who can’t think for themselves, or are born into a religion or cult that dictates all their choices. I just finished binge-watching a documentary series on Scientology, & could see many parallels to cults & many churches.
@theresalkrupp From more than one published writer/poet/teacher, “If you drink wine (or smoke ‘herb’), during the first draft, stay “sober” for the second draft.”

Started with "Aloud" and am not sure why today I got lucky on the second try. Maybe the good news that I've been asked to write an "Afterword" for a manuscript I have been editing? So happy the book will be published; the rest is icing. 🥰

First time I got it on 2nd try! I still miss playing Scrabble with friends, but this is still a fun "brain quiz" way to start my day...
@SenClayDavisx4 Wow! If you have a life, you probably won't read all the responses. I loved playing Scrabble and Balderdash with family and friends, but now they are either too busy, not around, or on screens. I play Wordle alone & get on with my "human" life. 🥰
Still getting the hang of Wordle (tried "adieu" for the first time, and that was a total loss today.) Oh well...I'm still hooked!
