At MYB’s concert this evening, principal euphonium Emma Corlett was presented with a gift at her last concert before she leaves for Oxford University. Everybody involved with the bands would like to wish Emma all the very best for her studies.

It’s still November, but we’ve done our first Christmas engagement of 2024. A group played for the arrival of the festive Okells “St Nick” ale at the British Hotel this evening. The players then hotfooted it up to the bandroom for a rehearsal. Thanks guys! 🎅 🍺

On Sunday, Manx Concert Brass will be competing in the Championship Section of the North West Area Brass Band Championships. The band will perform the test piece ‘Variations on an Enigma’ by Philip Sparke at the bandroom at 8.45pm on Weds evening. Pop in if you’d like to hear it.
