Someone eviscerated a mouse in the kitchen last night,
I trod in it when I got up to make tea.
Little Red and gray clumps dotted the tiled floor,
I cleaned it up with kitchen roll.
And I am left to wonder, as the tea bags stew,
Did the poor thing have a family?
