@ColorlessCl @MiaAI_lab Good either way because we can evaluate it and call it as it is versus taking someone’s word for it.

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@MiaAI_lab And I still think more needs to be published on the HF incident… we have basically only one party trying to be transparent around it.

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@MiaAI_lab I think for these kinds of things we should demand the traces like in the HF incident. We won’t be able to study it if it’s not published… plus extraordinary claims require evidence.

@LLMSherpa Ooooh like quest 64

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@MiaAI_lab My entire 401k, duh

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@xlr8harder I’m so happy for them. I’m sure this won’t have any second order effects for them at all.

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@LLMSherpa Why can’t we just not have predatory nonsense

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@AIandDesign Woah woah woah, we have hand written code over here everyone!

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@LLMSherpa I have some good news about locally hosted LLMs

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@Jason @Scaramucci A world record

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@LLMSherpa Don’t lie, you’d just get your own data center. 😂

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@emollick One could probably do it with embeddings I would wager. Though I don’t know how sensitive it would be.

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@LLMSherpa I concur, this was a significantly underrepresented market segment.

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@MiaAI_lab Yeah because it’s EOL for those sweet sweet pro cards.

[Christian Merrill @M_Chimiste]

@MiaAI_lab @ashxhart I think we need to know Linux performance and battery life. Personally I’m not touching windows as a daily driver every again unless it’s for gaming.
