I’m not surprised. So many have been sick in my class over the past few weeks. Positive cases of Covid, Influenza A and scarlet fever in my class alone. Yet there is a push for higher student attendance % from the DoE. Isn’t this a H&S concern? @TeachersFed@pjdonnchadha

As part of wellbeing week last week, staff were able to write anonymous compliments to other staff members. Compliments regarding us as a person not only a teacher was an added suggestion. Reading these this morning certainly put a smile on my dial!
As a teacher, my wellbeing is not dependent upon being given cakes in the staff room.
It is dependent on being supported, valued and included.
It is dependent on being able to work and have a life.
