a) funding for our medical supplies or
b) PIP from those who actually need it, people with MS for example
... is pretty worrying and frankly a *weird* thing to ask for

But don't conflate that access with access to PIP, we don't need personal cash payouts. We need that money to fund the overall system so we all individually benefit

@Gemmabaggies This is really sincere question from a T1D who has been through what your son is going through. The condition is brutal but as long as our treatment is funded, why would we need or expect anything else on top of that? What am I missing here?

@Gemmabaggies Genuinely interested - and I'm a T1D of 18 years standing - what do *we* actually need PIP for? Our prescriptions are free, the insulin is free. The condition is *hard*, but other than helping to pay for some hypo haribo once in a while...?

@george__mack For anyone aged 30 to 45, the first ten seasons of The Simpsons are what The Beatles were to the generation before us. Nothing else got into as many people's DNA and *stayed* there (and god are we lucky for it)

@sergeslothrop @ZeroSuitCamus That's a crass oversimplification and you know it Mr Slothrop. I've seen protestors of every stripe outside the Beeb's doors - quite literally. They can't *all* be right - and they aren't - but it's become a national lightning rod for angry, angry people (like you, presumably)

@gtdad play more songs written by more people than any of their peers, and then put the memorisation of those songs to the tests in dingy clubs. When the time came for them to write, and write hard, they had everything they needed in their heads to mingle in new and unanticipated ways
