Businessman Suliman Carrim sat next to me at the barbershop in Sandton City today.

He looked in good spirits, and, in good health.

Long may that continue, so that he can comply with his legal obligations like we all have to.

*sidenote: haircuts only last a week these days.

South Africans: "Why are so many illegals in the country? Is it not a crime to be here illegally?"

Government: "We didn't say they automatically get citizenship. We still need to process them."

South Africans: "My fok, I'm asking you how they got into the country illegally. Why are so many of them here!"

Government: "We didn't say they will be citizens"

South Africans: "You're starting to piss me off. We demand to know why our borders aren't protected and why so many of them in the country illegally"

Government: "No, man, that's disinformation. They must apply for asylum; then we're going to check it"

The likes of Redi Tlhabi, Karyn Maughan, Adrian Basson, Pieter du Toit, Qaanitah Hunter, Dan Corder and others in the media establishment need to understand something: you no longer have a monopoly on public discourse.

Ordinary South Africans now have platforms to question your reporting, challenge your narratives and expose inconsistencies without seeking your approval.

You spent years scrutinising politicians and public institutions. Now the public is scrutinising YOU and suddenly criticism is labelled misinformation, ignorance or a coordinated campaign.

You don’t get to decide which voices deserve to be heard or which concerns are legitimate.

The days of controlling the narrative without being challenged are over. Get used to being held to the same standards you demand of everyone else.

Everyone who defends the rights of opportunistic asylum seekers being given a permit to stay in South Africa must house atleast 4 in their own home.

Wait! If the Minister of Home Affairs and other political office-bearers had no knowledge of the directive, how did @UNHCRSouthernAF get hold of it and publish it online before deleting it?

How did an internal directive reach an international organisation without the minister’s knowledge? Who authorised its circulation? @HomeAffairsSA we demand answers NOW!! @ParliamentofRSA @mmkubayi @Leon_Schreib

Okay but everyone that was queuing up clearly doesn’t have paper to be in this country, will you be arresting them?

@Newzroom405 @HistorySAZAR So what happens to those ‘asylum seekers’ now? Will they be deported?

[Lech.🇿🇦 @M_Keys98]

@Newzroom405 @StephenGrootes Why are you platforming criminals?

[No Caffeine @Nocoffe50]

I’m in no position to judge the people burning infrastructure! They tried talking and your government spit on their faces. They’re just changing the language of communication as it seems 🤷🏽‍♀️

and soon a gang of Muslims showed up to tell her to leave because they were going to kill her☠️

Country destroyed by the 2030 agenda.

Ok now it makes sense. This is why Eswatini spokesperson didn’t want to confirm if they travelled via South Africa. This lack of transparency is WILD.
The questions now are :

-Why wasn’t there transparency about how these people transited? The question was never about whether they are in SA. The issue was, did these dangerous criminals go via SA?

-Now that SA gov confirmed they flew through OR Tambo. The question is, How did they enter SA? Did they have the right papers? Did they go through immigration here in SA? Or did SA do Eswatini a favor? Just looking for clarity.

@ClaysonMonyela please help clarify?

All these people you are giving free airtime to should pay for TV license. I’ve never seen you interviewing ordinary South Africans asking them how they feel about this situation yet you constantly harass them with tv license bills.
