@bankofmaldives@Lafuzu1 How is this a "heyo badhalu"?? You have increased the effective exchange rate on foreign purchases, upto USD500, to MVR 20.06. You have also reduced the withdrawal limit from overseas ATMs to USD125 at an exchange rate of MVR16.65, excluding other charges. At leasonest! Shameful!
@Mihaarunews These changes do nothing to favor the Customers. With the increase in USD exchange, from resorts, Banks in Maldives should be able cater for the foreign currency needs of Customers!
@muththo It is difficult to accept that the Ministry Staff regularly inspect the pump stations. The pump controller, for LS-13 indicates the pump had tripped during the most recent flooding. A week ago it was indicating, pump did not start!
@muththo Flooding became a big problem, in T-09 area, after Majeedhee Magu was "re-constructed" with the water directed into the side roads and also when Rasfannu was constructed, blocking off the drain to the sea.
Exciting opportunity for youth! Upcoming session by Maldives IGF on Internet Governance, focusing on its importance and generating impactful themes for the unique challenges in the Maldives. Don't miss out!

@nashidh@URAGovMv@MoEnvmv@STELCOMALDIVES They should do it again and bring out a statement! It is their duty. And perhaps people are more receptive to a third party statement!
The relatively high electricity bill is the major concern of people in Male'! I believe it is the duty of Utility Regulatory Authority to conduct a professional audit/investigation, publish the findings and take corrective measures.@URAGovMv@MoEnvmv@STELCOMALDIVES
It is not URA's task or mandate to publish policy or methods to calculate subsidies. Specially, when it impacts the Utility's finances negatively and the amount of subsidy received, by consumers, is not equal.
@MoEnvmv@Thoriqibrahim Perhaps, electricity subsidy (funding wastage) should be the priority focus of reform. It is simply not sustainable and creates inefficiency!
