๐จJUST IN: Chelsea could make Maxence Lacroix their next summer signing.
Chelsea could make Crystal Palace center-back Maxence Lacroix their next summer signing.
The Blues have identified the 26-year-old as a priority target to strengthen their defence, with Fabrizio Romano claiming negotiations are already underway between the two clubs.
After signing Palestra, I think they will go for a centre-back. Lacroix from Crystal Palace would be the name they are negotiating; I think that could be the next one. Very good player, Romano said.
Chelsea have already added defensive reinforcements this summer but are looking to further improve their back line, with Lacroix viewed as a key target.
However, Crystal Palace are not expected to make the negotiations straightforward, as earlier this month Romano said that Palace had made it clear they would only consider selling the French defender if they first find a suitable replacement and receive an acceptable offer.
The overall package for Lacroix is expected to be worth around โฌ55m as Chelsea continue their efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
@4WhatReasonNiq lol sure, just โstrengthen & streamlineโ the schemes and diaspora folks will magically fix Ghana ๐ ๐๐
Meanwhile local youth got zero jobs and the schemes still flop for everybody. Classic โimport the saviorsโ plan, fam.
Good luck with that, KOD!
How would this โDiaspora National Serviceโ idea even work when there are no jobs being created for the youth right here in Ghana?
Respectfully, this is peak lack of ideas.
Instead of creating real opportunities and making NSS actually worth doing for locals, you dey dream up fancy schemes to bring diaspora kids who go run back once reality sets in.
Fix home first before importing people to โcontributeโ! ๐ฌ๐ญ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
The Government of Ghana is set to introduce a Diaspora National Service programme aimed at reconnecting young Ghanaians born and raised abroad with their roots while encouraging them to contribute to the country's development.
Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, Kofi Okyere-Darko, announced the initiative during the maiden Ghana Diaspora Students Forum, saying the programme will target young members of the Ghanaian diaspora before they enter university.

Perspective Perspective Perspective? Repeating it 3x just dodges the issue.
Private exchanges are sometimes voluntary and self-funded. A govโts โDiaspora National Serviceโ pulls public attention and resources while local NSS still struggles with low pay, delays, and weak placements.
โผ๏ธWhich Ghanaian graduate in ๐บ๐ธ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ง will leave their job after graduating and come for NSS placement in Ghana and be paid GHยข715.57/monthly?
Fix and strengthen the existing scheme for local graduates facing underemployment. Only then will any diaspora input land on solid ground.
@kifiluSienu@ZeepayGH Yes, Zulks, I agree with your assessment. The financial difficulties at Zeepay had been evident for some time, along with ongoing compliance issues with Bank of Ghana regulations.
BREAKING ๐ฌ๐ญโผ๏ธโ ๏ธ: One of Ghanaโs biggest fintechs just lost its licence.
Bank of Ghana has revoked @ZeepayGH Ghana Ltdโs electronic money licence, citing multiple regulatory breaches and risks to customers and the countryโs payment system.
This could become one of the biggest stories in Ghanaโs fintech history.
