@RussoJackson@chargers Right on. We could have picks 1-4 be all the top rated linemen in the draft and people will complain we didn't fight to get the 5th pick too

🏆 Sports in Kansas Large Classes Assistant Coach of the Year (6A–5A–4A)
Tony Chesney, Salina Central
Chesney led what many considered the top offensive line in Kansas this fall, powered by 4-star Kaden Snyder (SIK Top 11) and elite junior Warrick VanBlaricon, helping pave the way for 2,800-yard rusher and Top 11 pick Cooper Reves along with standout QB Griffin Hall.
His unit helped Salina Central win its first state title in 20 years, and head coach Mark Sandbo said Chesney’s impact goes far beyond talent:
“We have some dudes, but they’ve gotten so much better because of him, and several of them are going to be more prepared to play at the highest level because of him. Not to mention the work he does for our entire program.” — Mark Sandbo, 2025 SIK All-Classes Coach of the Year on Chesney.
A dominant season. A dominant line. A coach who made it happen.

@kstated@scoresinkansas Agree! Stop dropping 6A/5A/4A schools down to lower divisions for football just so everybody makes the playoffs. Keep the 36 schools in each division and leave 4 out just like every other sport. If you want a 9th game for the 0-8 teams, have them play each other....
Our second medalist of the weekend is James MacKinney in the Javelin! With a great toss of over 175’, James took 8th in a wildly impressive 5A field! Great career James!
Staring with those Jav throwers! James MacKinney popped a 179-10 to set the pace and place 3rd, while Allison Robinett stepped up an tossed a huge PR of 126-9 to place 2nd!
