@OrevaZSN AI is only a half step ahead of the collective intellectual/cultural property that it steals. Take away the influx of new ideas, say by flooding the Internet with AI slop, and the whole system oozes to a halt.

Very late winter sunrises vs the already very early winter sunsets. In the morning, I'm at work or driving to it. In later afternoon, I'm not at work.
Why wouldn't I want more light at the end of the day?
BREAKING: The House has passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, ending the twice-a-year clock changes by a 308-117 vote. Backed by President Trump, the bill now heads to the Senate. If approved and signed into law, Americans would no longer have to change their clocks.
24-hour writing is still going. I didn't get as many words as I wanted so far, but the big part of this is getting the novel into gear.
On that front, it's been a huge success.
4500 words so far, looking to break 10k today.
I had to postpone my 24-hour writing activity but it's in full swing now. New novel, multiple viewpoint chars, worldbuilding from scratch.
Started at 4:00. I've gotten through the awkward first page white space and now I've got plenty of story beneath me.
@JooseMidnite Aside from the whole "immoral stealing the blood/sweat/tears from artists thing" just think in terms of marketing. There are many who will never buy a book with an AI cover, some who don't care, and nobody who would be more likely. It's a net loss.
@justforreadin@Undoomed The Stargate would somehow hook up to the rings system, snake around a black hole or something, and transport anyone anywhere in time and space.
All controlled by a wristwatch or E-glasses.
@AlastairTanJY At the end of the day, artists are at the mercy of the art-appreciating public.
One solution: If AI art must be clearly labeled as such, then it's up to artists to create something worth experiencing. Then we have to place our faith in our audience to reject AI simulacrap.
Dear @AmazonMGMStudio: We are getting complete radio silence from you. Almost 100K fans have signed petitions, we have funded banners to fly over your HQ, we are sending tissue boxes to your desks! Yet we still hear nothing?
Open the gate already!

He-Man was great. I felt like I was watching the show from my childhood. It had some great shout outs to the memes and had some silly moments, but overall, it took itself seriously. Most of all, it took its fans seriously.
Me getting all the worldbuilding, character lore, and plot grids ready for the next book. Draft one begins Sat June 27th with a 24-hour writing marathon!
I loved Stargate from the movie through the end of its run. Stargate Atlantis was great as well, but the first season is still my favorite for its "beyond the frontier" feel of being completely cut off from Earth.
I would have watched a new series that respected the original.
@AuthorGFAllen "I have a warrant, so are you going to let me in nicely or do these gentlemen have to bust the door down?"
99/100 people will let them in, assuming they don't know it's a vampire.
@TommyDeanWriter Not all readers read them, so a good prologue can add richness to a story, but it shouldn't be essential to understanding that story. Otherwise, the prologue should be called chapter one.
I personally enjoy them.
