And pretty sure Remco (and MV) attacks in the RR were just so Belgium didn’t have to pace. Once WvA was alone in the lead group nobody would work with him

If the nation as a whole doesn’t take Olympic sports seriously funding-wise then you could be on to something more generally. Struggle to believe that would have much affect on cycling in 🇧🇪 though. Only 🇫🇷 has more WT teams

@outdoorspodcast @faceyrj I agree with Rich, you're talking a lot of sense. I tend to think of myself as a 'conservation scientist' rather than a conservationist - my work isn't conservation, but it assists with conservation. Suspect a lot of (but not all) bird ringing falls into that bracket too.
