Month 1 of WCBS core recording period is almost over. 500 visits to 425 sqs were submitted in July (down on 802 visits to 733 sqs in 2022). Hoping weather & surveying picks up to reflect the 1602 visits to 823 sqs surveyed over core period 2022. Lets go survey🦋 😃@UK_CEH@_BTO
Thought it was going to rain but instead it stayed good for our WCBS transect in the corn fields of Northamptonshire - 326 butterflies recorded with 108 Gatekeeper, 54 Red Admirals and 97 Whites and 14 species in total
