@wpcu Thanks to your rep, Sonia Horton, who helped me get some basic account items taken care of. I greatly appreciate that I can call and talk to someone who can actually help me!
Thanks to @jayleno and Donald Osborne, ASA for the great message on why qualifications matter and why it's important to hire an experienced @ASAappraisers appraiser. It's important for classic cars and for all the other appraisal needs.

Thank you! It is a great honor, and I'll be doing my best to move ASA and our profession forward and to be worthy of the trust that our members have placed in me.

Ensure you find an appraiser that knows the type of assets you have. The golf course real estate appraiser should have reached out to an equipment appraiser (like us) for the rolling stock.
Appraisal likely undervalued golf course, says Watertown manager https://t.co/klor6hG43K
Today, for instance, Bard seemed to think that equipment appraisers are licensed by states (they aren't); and it made up a fictional group that it says trains equipment appraisers.
After spending time asking #BardAI and #ChatGPT questions on equipment appraising, I can say for certain that I won't be relying on either for information if the answers actually be correct.
The headlines "Machinery Pete: Used equipment market continues to set records" & "Used Equipment Price Increases Continue to Trend Down" hit my feed simultaneously.
But the 2nd doesn't actually say that prices are dropping, just that prices aren't increasing as quickly.
@randfish I hate to admit it, but I just can't figure it out.
I'm not a tech novice by any means, and getting UA up and running was a no-brainer. I'm just trying to do some pretty basic tracking, but every time I try to do GA4 or GTM, I just get lost and give up.
I don't usually post personal items, but my synagogue, Temple Beth Abraham, was able to offer our sanctuary to @FAMEOakland after the horrible fire that devastated their building last week.
I was able to be there this morning for some of their service.

@ARMORXMOUNT Any suggestions on dealing with the protective cover on your iPad rainproof military grade case? I got one for work and while the case is great, the plastic cover is just not holding up well. Showing lots of scratches, etc. from normal Pencil use.
A post from my IG #appraisaltoolsflashback series: 1985 catalog for NYC’s Tunnel Machinery Exchange. More of a firm history than an actual appraisal tools flashback, though.

@RodBurkert@TimWilliamsICG Except, of course, in valuation work, where the fee is based on the scope of the work and definitively can't be related to the value.
(Yes, I know you meant the scope of the value you add to the process, but it's an important distinction.)
It would have been easy to note it was without a bag tag and toss it in the "send to unclaimed" pile. I appreciate her taking the time to note the items with our names on them and reunite us.
If you could confirm that she's at Igloo Road, I'd like to send her a small thank you.
@united Please thank Heather T. out of your Houston baggage office for me.
@CopaAirlines lost our bag last year & they were ignoring us in trying to find it.
She found our name on stuff in the (somehow untagged) bag, found me in the joint tracking system & sent our bag home.
