@TFG_Football@elitetakes_ Yeah, I can't get behind it either. The only way to make it fair if they did it would be to award TDs on egregious deep PI penalties, using the palpably unfair act rule, but that would make for a poor on-field product anyways. No one wants to see points handed out like that
@stclaudeii I like the QBs in the room currently, but I say keep swinging at the QB position. At least bid a day 3 pick and call it a lottery ticket if teams aren't willing to bid valuable picks from the highly touted 2027 draft
@Tino9322 Ultimately, we see players who make much worse off field choices in their teens and early 20s and we write it off. I see no reason to look at this situation any differently. He is young, got addicted to something bad, and was punished for it. Let's see how that has changed him
@Tino9322 Obviously teams will have to meet with him and get comfortable with the gambling stuff and his recovery from being addicted to it, but I agree the talent is absolutely there and worth taking a shot at. Swing as many times as you can at the QB position
@Tino9322 Getting a lot bigger at OL across the board.... Wonder if at some point we will integrate more gap blocking into our run scheme like the Rams have done with their offshoot of the Shanahan system over the years. I sure wouldn't mind being multiple, as much as I love the wide zone
@PoupartNFL I may be late, but which rookie linebacker do you see having the most significant role? I think people are not giving enough thought to Trey Moore's role.
@Tino9322 Absolutely no complaints from me either. I have to reach pretty far to come up with that theoretic, and half of that theory stands on his being undersized--which has not stopped him in any way from becoming an elite player.
@WingfieldNFL@desena_tyler And you are telling me this guy used to be a quarterback? Crazy high level technique in an era of the NFL that has prioritized punching the ball out the last couple of years due to efficient, underneath passing responses to the Fangio-led 2 high safety resurgence of the 2020s
The Young Terps- S Dante Trader Jr & DT Jordan Phillips are rightfully getting a lot of pub recently. They will each take massive leaps in 2026 & both are on the way to being “C” material. They showed sparks last season, now they are ready to blast off.

Dolphins May 27 OTA recap:
Dominant day for the defense.
Louis Moore had a pick 6. Juju Brents punched out a fumble on Terrace Marshall. Ethan Bonner punched one out on Greg Dulcich. Jason Marshall and Trey Moore the recoveries on the plays.
We got a brief 11 on 11 period but it was only passing game, so the pass rush tee’d off. Within that, Chop Robinson and Jordan Phillips were unblockable. Chop had a sack and a pressure that probably could’ve been constituted as a sack. Uche and Ojabo later added sacks, Uche a really nice rep getting Patrick Paul with speed around the corner. Rene Konga also had a quick-win sack inside.
Phillips looks, to me, to have added both mass and quickness. He was timing the snap, flying off the ball, then throwing haymakers with clubs and hump moves and quite literally throwing people around.
I thought Kyle Louis, Dante Trader and Chris Johnson all had really good days in coverage. Johnson the smooth transitions in trail, Louis and Trader expanding the surface area they can cover. I’d add Brents and Marshall to that – their length stands out often.
Malik Washington made the catch of the day on a ball over the middle from Malik. Ball shot out of a cannon, over his head, but he elevates, squeezes it and hangs on going to the ground.
Willis found Dulcich later on a contested ball against Brooks where Dulcich was able to block out Brooks and makes a strong hands catch. Willis had to buy some time and threw a dart moving to his left.
Quinn Ewers found Kevin Coleman for a couple of nice gains, including a good ball to the perimeter over one defender, under another.
I’ve got a ton more to talk about on the podcast, dropping later this afternoon.
@Jason_Sarney Hard not to pick Trader, but Grant is clearly the player that will benefit most with this change of scheme and a full year on an NFL training regimen. Can't wait to see us let him get up the field more
