In my placement class we have been targeting spelling words that our students often spell wrong. Every morning we have been referring to some of these spelling helper acronyms to help their writing. They find the oh you lucky duck for should and would the most helpful #acuedu_p

My placement class has completed their place value castles and displayed them around the room. This activity was a visual way for younger students to be creative and then understand and learn about place value. #acuedu_p

In my placement classroom, we refer to this setup whenever a student asks for the time and we figure it out as a class. As someone who struggled with analog clocks as a child, this is a brilliant setup for aiding the children in understanding analog clocks. #acuedu_p

When used within the classroom, puzzles are great multi purpose tools. They can be great brain breaks tools, as well as great tools for hands on learning when the right kind of puzzle is chosen #acuedu_p

I love this strategy for behaviour management. It acts similarly to secret student. The teacher chooses a secret student at the start of the day and if that student worked hard at the end of the day, they receive a prize #acuedu_p

Discovered this fun tool for classroom behaviour. It’s a special monster that watches the class work throughout the day. Then at the end of the day, the monster tells the teacher one students name who has been working hard! I’ve used this in Year 1 classrooms! #acuedu_p
