I still believe that her sentence should have been life imprisonment rather than a death penalty. She did a horrible thing and for more than 31 years she took responsibility for her crime. I think Shipp is the one who deserves the death penalty and not pike.
"I don't deserve to be out there working ... I did something horrible ... but I don't deserved to die for the actions of three individuals", Christa Pike 1998.
Christa Pike is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection at 10:00 a.m. CDT at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.
She refused her last meal. Pray for Christa Pike
David killed a man and took his wife and yet God punished him but forgave him . Considering pikes age at the time of the crime (18) and her traumatic experience and bad influence from the bf she could have been given a life sentence instead .
As humans , we should be allowed to forgive . Forgiveness doesnโt mean we erase the past or not punish the crime but rather tender mercy with judgment accordingly In Gods principle. Saul persecuted Christianโs in Corinthians killing them and yet God was merciful .
She was spoken in conferences and believe it or not her story has help shaped some lifeโs , she faced severe mental health challenges while growing up from childhood trauma and parental neglect . Multiple rapes etc which is a top factor for PTSD and bypolar disorder!
She has barely 5 hours left to live before her execution after spending nearly 31 years on death row ! Man is not good . We shouldnโt be allowed to judge a life base on who dies or not ! Life imprisonment with no parole would have been the option in this case !
