I don’t think I know a single parent who hasn’t used a dry cover to shield their baby from the sun on a hot day.
I wonder how many know this actually raises the temperature in the stroller, or that keeping the cover wet could keep their baby cool and safe.
👇
⚠️ Important info for parents & caregivers of infants:
❌ Never cover a stroller with dry cloth during hot weather
✅ Combine a moist cover with a clip-on fan for optimal cooling

@AirCanada you’ve cancelled my family’s outgoing flight from geneva to canada, but only rebooked their return flight. Since you’re not answering calls anymore what are we supposed to do?
@rosslaoel@CBCNB@premierbhiggs It is for many. Non-residents cant visit their spouses or come care for their sick parents. Others have approved reasons for travel (palliative care, moving etc). These people are the ones paying - while the govt passed the enforcement responsibility to low wage hotel workers.
@CBCNB This is insane and shameful. I lost my mom from cancer just before the pandemic and can’t imagine not having been able to travel to NB to care for her during treatments, and spend time together before she was completely incapacitated.
@Gov_NB@gov_nb - can you clarify if this is on top of the 3 day $2k hotel on entry to canada? What about people with kids or many pets? Is the RC catering to different dietary needs for that extra 100-150$/day? Leisure vs moving should be separated since moving isnt deferrable for most
@pickwauket Totally agree - they need to separate leisure travellers from people moving, who (in addition to the insane non-optional cost) are more likely to have to cram pets and children into these hotel rooms, and probably have an empty apartment/house to go to anyways.
@Capeclamdigger@Global_NB .. this applies to people moving too. People with jobs, who’ve sold/bought homes and signed leases. Not everyone can postpone a move or has an extra 1400$ lying around, and some have a perfectly good empty place to self-isolate.
@susanclaughton @travisfortnum Same. 7 days (plus the 3 at a hotel in montreal or toronto) in a small hotel room with 2 people, 2 cats and a litter box sounds like hell. Cant imagine for people with kids.
@PodSaveAmerica@jonfavs@jonlovett@TVietor08 I’m a confused Canadian wondering why it’s not a bigger deal that the conviction of someone on trial depends on a bunch of jurors going against their vested interests. Like knowing the outcome of a serial killer’s trial because the jury is stacked with other serial killers 🤔
@CBeaune@francediplo Denied bording home to France today for being 20 minutes past 72hr covid test window (due to storm rescheduling). Then, told by consulate that my reason for travel - though listed on this official form - would not be considered urgent enough for admission 🤔
@freddybeachmom@CBCNB Hm. Are exempt ppl being told they can do whatever? GNB web says “All workers and individuals who are exempt from self-isolation must travel directly to and from work and/or their accommodations, self-monitor and avoid contact with vulnerable...”
@BBCWorld In New Brunswick and can confirm people are really hard on anyone they think is putting others at risk - whether they broke an official rule or not. I figure this is part of the reason cases have remained so low, but the online outing and blaming of positive people is sickening.
@TomOrrell86 So sorry to hear this Tom. Far too many lives lost early because of something so many people still refuse to help fight - It’s infuriating.
@Xyxxy15@CBCNB Sure - its a risk-averse place without a big travel industry so the rule may be sustainable there. For those of us who do have to travel, even with quarantine, many would still feel safer knowing all the other people on our flight were tested before being crammed together.
@WSJ Shouldnt be that hard (here in the alps) - ticket sellers already have plexiglass (+online sales), open chairs but not telecabines/gondolas, and outdoor dining only. I cant think of many more distanced activities...
