I don't think South Africa speaks enough about the Maluleke Sisters.
Young women need role models like this. We need to see more stories like these of black women being trailblazers in their respective careers.📌
@FabAcademic There are parts of the Bill I agree with and some not. My concern with the Bill is threat to parental control over the child’s education affecting homeschooling families. Homeschooling has been an increasingly popular option for black families since Covid 19 happened.
Dr Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh:
DA’s 7 proposals to DA/ANC coalition:
1. Privatize Eskom
2. Privatize Ports
3. Water regulator (remove State control?)
4. Skills Visa programme
5. Title Deed reform to expand land ownership (rural land rights - traditional leaders?)
6. Mineral rights reform (reverse MPRDA, mineral rights in State’s hands?)
7. Spectrum availability
June 16th was only the beginning. The following day students in Alexandra came together to stage solidarity protests. Japie Vilankulu (holding the rubbish bin lid) was among them. This photograph captures his last moments alive.

Stop telling black people about “markets” and that the “markets” will react negatively to any coalition outside the DA.
Why don’t the “markets” and this currency of ours, react negatively to how the DA treats people in Gugulethu and Khayelitsha? Or to the racism in workplaces? Or how black people still earn far less than their white counterparts?
This narrative of so called markets that react badly to BLACK UNITY must end.
But that’s what happens when you fail to radically transform the economy and leave it in minority hands🙆🏾♀️
