🚨My latest at @Forbes : What the U.S.-Venezuela Oil Deal is - and is not - really about.

Simply put: The U.S.-Venezuela oil deal is a long-term energy security play. It is not a quick fix at the pump.

The arrangement announced Aug. 28 gives the U.S. government a foothold over a potential 65 billion barrels of proven reserves.

Speculation about instant cheaper gasoline and a quick rebalancing of the global oil markets misses the point.

What it is not about:

- Near-term oil or gasoline prices Immediate replacement of Canadian crude $60 oil or pre-March pump prices next week.

- Much of the acreage is greenfield that will take 7–10 years to bring online.

- Brownfield assets dilapidated under Chavez and Maduro will require years and billions in capital before meaningful production returns.

What it is about:

- A 100-year lease on a geopolitically vital resource.

- Replacing eventual U.S. shale decline and imports from an increasingly China-aligned Canada.

- Countering Chinese and Russian influence in Venezuela and the Western Hemisphere.

- A likely U.S. security presence to attract major investment and deter rivals.

U.S. energy security has already cushioned the Hormuz crisis. Shale will peak. Relations with Ottawa under Mark Carney have grown fraught, and Canadian heavy crude has long filled a refining gap. This deal creates a long-term alternative while locking in a Western Hemisphere asset.

Bottom line: it is designed to strengthen U.S. and hemispheric energy security for the next quarter-century and beyond.

American drivers will benefit eventually. They should not expect it at the gas pump anytime soon.

The Federal Reserve CONFIRMS: The U.S. Congress has built the single largest racket empire on the planet:

In other words, the root of all corruption—the racket—is the U.S. Congress. It has funneled as much as one-third of the U.S. national debt to the planet’s most profitable organizations: NGOs.

And you know what? As of 2026, the American taxpayer is paying roughly $1.2 trillion per year in interest on the racket.

Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell oversaw approximately $30 trillion of the racket alone.

When I was in pharmacy school as a a student I worked in the “OR satellite” for about three years. Supplied medications to anesthesiologists and surgery staff. Never once have a need for Potassium phosphate in the OR. Any orders for Potassium phosphate for anywhere in the hospital were ALWAYS compoundes in the pharmacy and delivered to the care are. Potassium phosphate NEVER used intravenously or injected into a person’s spine, ALWAYS added to a large volume IV fluid. I have never seen Potassium phosphate stored in any hospital except in the pharmacy "IV room" where IV's are made. Totally inexplicable to me why Potassium phosphate was even made accessible to OR personnel. Pharmacy’s big stupid mistake.
Look at the labels for mepivacaine vs. Potassium phosphate. Anything pop out on the label that anybody would/should notice before injecting it directly into somebody's spine? Especially an anesthesiologist?
1. Potassium phosphate is a 15ml glass vial with a grey rubber top sealed with an aluminum clamped top. Notice the boxed warning right below the drug name: “FOR INTRAVENOUS USE ONLY. CAUTION: MUST BE DILUTED.”
2. Mepivacaine comes in a prefilled syringe cartridge without a needle. No need to draw up mepivacaine; just attach a needle an inject. Nothing like the packaging of Potassium phosphate vial at all
"The pharmacy" will rightfully receive the blame. This was a really stupid thing to do. The anesthesiologist who actually pulled the Potassium phosphate out of the box, ignored the warning right on the label with the drug name, drew up the fluid from the glass vial, and injected it into the spines of MULTIPLE human beings also has lots of the blame.

Let me just say something.

I've known Data Republican longer than most of you. She became an online friend back when my X account was much bigger than her X account.

I saw her making predictions about the 2024 election that were different than everybody else, grounded in novel analyses of data points nobody else ever looked at, and even before the actual election results proved that she was the most accurate electoral analyst on Planet Earth, I like to flatter myself and think that I spotted her analytical genius very early on.

I got to know her as a result of my admiration for her work.

I have talked to her a lot over the past couple of years. She is genuine. She is who she says she is, in every way. She is not an "op." She is not funded by [FILL IN THE BLANK OF WHATEVER ORGANIZATION YOU DESPISE]. She is an independent, extremely smart person with strong Christian moral convictions. She does what she thinks is right, and she stands in the fire bravely, in a way that few of us could ever bear.

Is she perfect? No. We all make mistakes. But you know what? When she does, she owns up to those mistakes, unlike 99% of the other "influencers" out there.

Which makes me admire her even more.

If you are one of those people who keep insisting she is some sort of paid information warfare operative as part of whatever conspiracy du jour has infested your inflamed cerebral cortex, you can just stick it, idiot.
