🍔 @DoctorChrisVT explaining that our unhealthy diet is not due to laziness or lack of knowledge, but poverty and inequality. The poorest 10% of people in the UK would need to spend 75% of our income on food to get anywhere near a healthy diet.
Aired this morning on @bbc5live.
@DoctorChrisVT Love the book - I would love to hear your thoughts on 'free from' food - I had to change to Gluten Free 10 years ago and suspect all labelled 'free from' foods are UPF and are a self-fulfilling prophecy!
@ClaireBearFrost I once had left over sweet and sour sauce and rice in a tin of tomato soup and it was fabulous!!! In my defence, I was pregnant at the time (lol)!
If they could …
“The way a government treats its refugees is very instructive because it shows you how they would treat the rest of us if they thought they could get away with it.”

Upside Down Management is summarised well by a sign I saw in a hotel recently. “Do you want to speak to the person in charge or the person who knows what’s going on?” The best ideas come from those who serve customers, pick orders and put money in the till. Not from Head Office.
Tiredness scale:
1 Yeah fine
2 Bit sleepy
3 Knackered mate
4 Immediate pyjamas
5 Combining every word with a yawn
6 I’ve forgotten my own name
7 Can’t keep my eyes open
8 Dead
9 I’ll get off the floor in a bit
10 Please put a cushion under my head or just leave me it’s fine
@ChrisGPackham We have at least two foxes that visit our garden, I haven't figured out yet which one is taking the soft, cuddly dog toys home with them - but last week I managed to reclaim 7 toys from the overgrown area behind our garden!
Make no mistake - we are also incredibly angry. We stand with @RSPBEngland in calling out the unprecedented attack on nature launched by UK Government over the last few days. We’ll be challenging this together and asking for our supporters to stand with us.
@revkatebottley My Mum and Dad generally watch programs on the BBC at the time they are shown, anything they want to watch on other channels gets recorded so that they can skip all the adverts when they watch it later!
I keep expecting an African TV station to do a segment standing in a Kent field saying “the rains have failed in this breakway country where the deposed ruler still clings to power, and people are worrying about soaring costs and how they will feed their children”. It’d be karma.
