I was studying fungi for the final exam and thinking that the fungi would not be found because of the cold. I was wrong! I found exidia crenata while collecting dry sticks for the final!!! Happy finals week! #environmentaleducation
Over break I went on a hike at my favorite trail. As I was walking I thought of class discussions of how we can be more engaged with nature by simply touching it (ex. Mud faces). I grabbed some dead leaves and crumple up as I walked. 10/10. #environmentaleducation
Preparing for my video reflection from chapters from Bringing School to Life has made me appreciate my class field trips growing up. So much thought and effort went into making them beneficial and engaging. It connected us to our class and community! It also made great memories!
Reflecting on the semester and what I’ve learned in enviro ed, I hope I can carry it into my ed class next semester. Reshaping our idea of what school looks like and daring to be creative with lesson planing is the best way to make a lasting impact on a child’s education! #ElonEd
I’m prepping for tomorrow in the forest classroom and keeping the phrase “there’s no bad weather just bad clothing” in mind. It will be 40° and raining!!! #environmentaleducation#forestclassroom
