Black females are being criminalized in schools. As teachers we need to stand up for ALL students and make sure that changes are being made in the discipline practices. Change cannot be made if we do not take a stance and address it.

Textbooks and standard curriculum are often not created with POC in mind and often do not reflect the anti-racist curriculum we want to be giving our students. We must dive deeper into the truth of racism and injustice that is often omitted from curriculum. #TCH26410

I love teaching because I get a chance to leave a positive impact on every student I meet. Seeing students light of with confidence when they understand something is such a moving experience. I can't wait to help my students flourish and grow! #TCH26410
