Hello, my absolutely lovely membrane peeps! Would you maybe, pretty-please, let me proudly steer you to a MINI-REVIEW I recently wrote? It’s on asymmetric membranes in general, and differential stress in particular—subjects that I am massively interested in right now!

Now out in @JChemPhys. This is our latest effort to understand interfacial solvent density fluctuations near extended hydrophobic solutes and the effect of cosolutes on them.
@Jmondal_tifrh has been awarded the Humboldt Research Fellowship under Experienced Researchers program. His research group @TIFRH_buzz uses Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo & Brownian Dynamics simulations to create models providing key insights into topics of biological interest.
Awesome postdoc position alert!! Despite, or because of, being Twitter-less, Ed Lyman is a great mentor, scientist, and human being.
Interested in membrane proteins, simulations, machine learning, physics, evolution, bioinformatics?? Apply!

Through multiscale simulations and lattice modeling, we show how phase-rich and phase-sensitive lipid membrane could have served as matrix for organization of mononucleotides and possibly “catalyse” the formation of oligonucleotides in the origins of life.
We are standing on the cusp of a new era of biology, where the integration of multimodal structural datasets with multiscale physics-based simulation will enable the development of visible, virtual cells.
My dream for #COVIDisAirborne@kprather88 & the molecular basis of life 😍❤️🤓

We are organizing a 2-day meeting (Nov 27-28, 2023).
Theme: Integrative multiscale modeling in biomolecular and soft matter systems
Please register if you would like to attend. We have limited accommodations for students. For any queries, DM/email me.
Check out our latest publication from @VegtLab, now online at @JChemPhys. We employ computationally tractable non-Markovian models for dynamically consistent coarse-graining of molecular liquids and their ideal/non-ideal mixtures. #OpenAccess https://t.co/QkyB3ZeVFq
Jagannath Mondal has been selected for the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) Bronze Medal 2024. His group utilizes novel computer simulations to obtain insights into topics of biochemical interest such as ligand binding and organization of biomacromolecules inside a cell.
