Day 1. I’m going to try to make real money using AI tools, and I’m posting every step, win, and fail here. So far: I set up my own LLC and built my first website. Zero dollars made. Let’s see how far this goes

Day 7. Yesterday and today were crazy! Busy busy busy. Still trying to get my EIN so I can start my…. Drumroll please….. Etsy shop!!! I’ve finally figured out something that could make me money by using AI (while not selling strictly AI generated products per Etsy’s rule)

I’m going to try multiple things: Etsy AND website design/local SEO. Working on my website for that too. Things are happening!

ALSO I’ve created a mostly automated carousel instagram page that GrokBot is running for me. I get approval on stuff but I’ve tweaked it and could almost just let him have free reign.

Now if I can just get this stupid EIN app to come through 🤦‍♀️

Day 5. I suppose you could say I've "made" my first $50 this month ($50 MRR, YAY) using AI. Really it just helped me cancel subscriptions I didn't need...

I realized I've been overlooking something KEY I had all along. Friends with businesses! My lash lady once asked if I could build her a website. This will be my guinea pig project. GrokBot says it can mock up a site which can be viewed via GitHub pages. All free! Amazing! This can be expanded pretty easily once I have an outreach strategy. I have ideas on how Grok can help with this too.

What is the book about?? I've used it for about 5 days now and its helped me immensely, but ultimately I want it to help me make some money...

- Submitted 25 job applications
- Helps me keep track of my groceries (via emailed grocery receipts) and makes a meal plan based on what I have/tracks my eating and calories
- Found $50/month of subscriptions I was able to cancel.
- Helped me deconstruct and rebuild a website and get it ready for adding Adsense
- I've done a lot of market research with it so far on the kinds of businesses I could start with AI help and it keeps coming back to AI-assisted SEO stuff (which is what I was laid off from/am applying to)

Coming to the same conclusion about these pie in the sky claims about AI making them millions. That won't stop me from trying though 😅

@wrowclif As a proudly non-technical person, I'm learning this the hard way. "Help me build a website" got me a website. "Help me make money" has gotten me $0 so far 😅 I'm learning you actually have to give it a direction and have base knowledge

@yourdivanshi Not a what-if for me, it happened last year. I set up an AI bot that sends me job matches every morning, and I use the rest of the day to see if AI can build me an online income.

Honest update from someone actually trying: so far the only money AI has "made" me in the background is about $50/month in forgotten subscriptions it helped me cancel. I'm only on day 5 though!

I was tech adjacent, got laid off last year. Now a bot sends me job matches every morning, and I spend the rest of the day testing whether AI can build actual income or whether all these AI "Gurus" are full of 💩

Seems like everyone and their mom moved to AI, maybe that's just my algorithms

When setting up an LCC, please DO NOT use LegalZoom. They charged me without my knowledge or consent to some $200/month subscription and I’ve been on the phone with them, getting transferred around to 10 different people. Im sick of being put on hold.

It’s to the point where I’m certain this is either a scam or they’re completely inept.

I should have just done it directly on my state’s website. DO NOT USE LEGALZOOM.

I set a grok bot up that scans my emails for all my grocery orders and uses that information to come up with healthy food plans and recipes. I forget what I have in my fridge but Grok won’t!

It also asks me what I ate at the end of the day to keep a log and will remind me to weigh myself each week.

My little GrokBot squad is growing and life is getting better 🥰

Didn’t get much done today because the new ACOTAR book came out (priorities 😅) but I DID use Grok to come up with a daily diet plan/tracker/log (plus a blended tortilla soup recipe that was YUM) and found ~$50/month of unneeded subscriptions that I cancelled.

And of course I did submit my daily batch of job descriptions. Interestingly, Grok keeps finding me jobs that are paying more than I was finding on my own. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Day 4: I’m still figuring out what this even is. Anyone else stuck between “what I’m good at” and “what I actually want to do”?

Grok came up with ai-assisted local SEO as a business idea for me. While I’m capable, it sounds like a full time job. If I’m working full time I want benefits. I’ll keep that one on the back burner for now.

I keep seeing people saying they’re making tens of thousands of dollars per month by clipping YouTube videos and posting them. Also finding businesses with crappy websites and building them nice websites quickly using AI. I wonder how feasible these are.

Today I’ll research these avenues after I get back from PT and errands.

Here's the BIG QUESTION: How can I REALISTICALLY make money online using AI.

Today I created my new GrokBot for Market Research. I tasked it to dig into several things for me:
- Selling Digital Products
- AI-Assisted Local SEO Services
- Drop ship apparel design

I got in-depth analyses of each topic including platforms to sell, market rates for pricing, certain laws to be aware of, realistic income, and, most impressively, 30-day plans.

Every day, my GrokBot will give me more ideas to check out. Once I pick a route, I'll have it do continuing market research for me to stay on top of trends and news. This thing is awesome.

I'm still in the ideation phase, but am so eager to get going. And start earning.
