Horrific. It keeps getting worse 😞
Scoliosis Scandal - Health Committee , Wednesday 25th March 2026
They are migrating and then they are dying, like Chloe Maher. @TomClonan
Do you record in any of your systems when a child becomes inoperable in your care?
When you say that waiting lists have improved, how much is it discharges without medical intervention i.e medical negligence.

@fiannafailparty@MichealMartinTD Yeah your targeting people on disability and pensioners who have already had two protests because we can't afford to eat and heat our homes. Bring the 65% tax down or everything from food to transport will increase. We need a government that's not profiting on our misery
MUST LISTEN "I'm sick of this waffle about carbon tax...it's like another USC charge" Michael Fitzmaurice TD warns of the the impact on housing, agriculture, food costs and cost of living if the Government refuses to address to spiralling costs of green diesel.

Number of patients on trolleys increased by 63% over St Patrick’s bank holiday (via @thejournal_ie)Raking in money from the tax on fuel but can’t get people off trolleys in hospital. They don’t care about us. https://t.co/pVzIYxUQtk
@ofrie26@NewstalkFM You realize it's the same increase for people getting fuel allowance. Oil companies won't even deliver for €152 that the extra disabled people and pensioners get and it will be wiped out by the increase in petrol cause food transport will jump
#disability The government make deliberate choices to make our lives worse. We can't change to electric cars many of us are living in old hard to heat homes. Government could have cut the 65% taxes they are taking on petrol and home heating. We Choose between heating and eating.
The Government’s latest "relief" package is a slap in the face to those struggling most. Cutting tax on petrol and diesel might look good in a press release, but it does nothing for the thousands of older people, people will illness, carers, and people with disabilities trapped in freezing homes or with empty fridges.
Many of our most vulnerable don't even qualify for the fuel allowance, leaving them with zero benefit while they struggle to heat their homes.
We aren't just facing a cost-of-living crisis; we are in a care crisis. Broken home care packages and failing primary care systems mean the most vulnerable are being failed at every single step.
While the Government stays in their ivory towers, our older and disabled people and family carers are skipping meals and sitting in the dark in fear of the next bill.
Instead of support, people are met with a "refusal first" attitude and endless bureaucracy.
Reducing the cost of a commute is one thing, but what about the cost of staying alive? We don’t need more "additional payment" mantras; we need a healthcare and social support system that actually functions.
Government needs to come down from your towers and speak to the people you continue to fail.

Children's Hospital Scandal - nobody expected it to be finished in April.
I hope we never see the likes of that contract again!
A 'fundamentally flawed' contract signed-off by the current Minister for Finance, Simon Harris TD. @davidcullinane#NCH#CHI#FFg#BAM #HowIrelandWorks #MoneyPit
@PaulZ1980@PearseDoherty The government are profiting from all these increased petrol and heating prices. They are planning to increase it even more in a few weeks so even more profits. Heating transport food will all jump. Disabled and elderly people and people on lower incomes can't take anymore
Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael proposals on petrol and diesel don’t go far enough and abandon households relying on home heating oil. We opposed those proposals tonight.
Our amendment, which Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael opposed, would have cut diesel by the maximum and cut petrol by the same amount and would have removed excise entirely from home heating oil.
That’s the type of support that workers and families needed tonight. We won’t settle for anything less and will continue to fight your corner for what you deserve.
Michael Fitzmaurice TD Speaking on Galway Bay this morning about the impact on housing, agriculture, food cost and cost of living if the Government refuses to address to spiralling costs of green diesel.
Last night Sinn Féin were the only party who stood up to Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael and refused to accept their half measures on the cost of living crisis.
Sinn Féin are the only party to put forward real and meaningful proposals to cut diesel by the maximum, cut petrol by the same amount and remove excise entirely from home heating oil.
That’s the type of support workers and families need and we will not settle for government half measures.
I welcome fuel allowance supports, but let’s be honest, a 15–20c cut on petrol/diesel is limited relief. With 5 different taxes, inclu a tax on the taxes, they're still taking the guts of €1 in tax on every litre. Prices were driven up by govt policy, this is a modest rollback.
Government unveils €250 million emergency measures package - and rules out rationing fuel (via @thejournal_ie)€250 million for the people of Ireland to get through this crisis. €380 million given to Ukraine. Someone explain that to me. https://t.co/clSEs6hkiz
