This is an epidural needle 🥺
Long, sharp and terrifying.
It goes deep into a mother’s spine,
While she’s already breaking with contractions.
Yet she bows her back, stays still and takes it.
Not because it’s easy but because her baby is worth every pain ❤️
C-section is not for cowards, it’s for warriors.
Because behind those bright lights of the operating room, a mother is lying still, surrendering her body to pain, to fear, to scars and choosing love.
They say: “Why did you choose a C-section?”
The truth is we didn’t, we never wished for seven layers of skin to be cut, for our spine to feel the sting of anesthesia, for the soreness that even makes breathing heavy 🥹
We didn’t choose the scar,
We chose life,
We chose the heartbeat of our baby over the comfort of our bodies.
Days later when we struggle to stand, when the stitches pull, when our bodies feels broken, we still carry our babies with a smile. Mothers are warriors 💯🥰
Kudos to all c-s mothers 😘🥹
I know for a fact that we’re going to be doing a lot of celebrating in 2026… Eyes haven’t seen and ears haven’t heard what God has planned for us in 2026.
I still can't believe this. My friend had not heard from her family for 4 days, since Melissa hit Jamaica. I put a tweet out at 12:26pm, by 1:57pm someone had got the message to her mother, and she'd had a call from her. An hour and a half.
Her family are all well, but their house has been completely destroyed.
So if you see me retweeting a lot of messages from people looking for loved ones this week, this is why. Hopefully they are similarly put in contact.
